Learn to Earn

Learn to Earn by Erik Nitsu

The first quarter of your life is dedicated to learning. However, the subjects that you are taught in school don't necessarily aid in your earning potential. Depending on your profession, it is very likely that most of your coursework in high school and college does not even closely pertain to what you do now.

This is unfortunate. More unfortunate it is because most people do not continue their learning outside of their profession. They go to work, do their job and fail to continue to learn near as much as they should. This is partly why they continue to work and probably will continue to work for the rest of their lives.

It is also unfortunate that people work their whole lives for money, yet really do not know anything about it. They remain clueless as to how it works and how to use it, but ... they think they know.

How many people have studied money? Not many. They do not know how to keep money and make it work for them -- they just know how to spend it. This is partly why the majority of the American population is in debt.

Learn to earn. Educate yourself on money. Accounting, finance and economics are all great topics to get started on as soon as possible. The sooner you learn how companies work, the sooner you better operate the company that you have run for quite some time now; yourself and your family. After all, they are not boring subjects if you really want to learn. There are great books that are easy to understand and will get the general concepts across.

The first lesson is to learn how to make, keep and invest money. It is important to learn how to use money to your advantage first and foremost. You already know how to make it, but you can learn how to make more of it. Though, if you fail to learn how to keep and invest your money, unfortunately you are never going to make enough money to be successul. This is why these subjects are a great place to start. Accounting, finance and economics will all teach you more about how to make, keep and invest your money wisely.

The second lesson is important for much more than earning money and becoming wealthy. It is important for all aspects of your life -- success. Having the right mentality -- a successful mentality -- to accomplish anything that you want to do is absolutely priceless. Many people do not have this mentality and go through life feeling somewhat unfulfilled. With a successful mentality, one can achieve anything one desires.

The last statement reflects a quote from a very famous book entitled _Think and Grow Rich_ by Napoleon Hill. The quote is as follows:

"Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve."

This saying is profound. Sometimes, profoundness is hard to understand and is definitely hard to learn from. This one statement is all you really need to know about obtaining a successful mentality and becoming successful. But, actually obtaining a successful mentality is a tough thing to do for most people. It requires constant exposure to people and/or material that will help you obtain that mentality. If we are to learn about money, which is definitely a tangible concept, then how do we learn about success?

The answer is held within the above paragraph. Surround yourself with books, multimedia and other material that will lead you in the right direction of gaining a positive attitude and a successful mentality. This will aid in all aspects of your life from finances, leadership, health and fitness, spiritual growth, relationships, including the relationship you have with yourself.
